Cash Management
The cash management function provides daily liquidity services for the state's various operating funds.
At any given point during the fiscal year state accounts have substantial amounts of available cash-- between $200 and $700 million dollars. The cash management group manages the short-term investment of this money to generate additional revenue for the state.
