Employees’ Retirement System of RI Awarded GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

Providence, RI – Today, Rhode Island General Treasurer James A. Diossa announced that the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island (ERSRI) has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting granted by the GFOA, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment.

Thank you to GFOA for recognizing the hard work of the ERSRI and Treasury team in ensuring transparency of our reporting system,” said General Treasurer Diossa. “I am proud of our staff for their exceptional work on behalf of ERSRI members and all Rhode Islanders.”
