Treasurer Diossa Names Justin Maistrow Chief Investment Officer Published on Wednesday, December 04, 2024 Providence, RI – Today, Rhode Island General Treasurer James A. Diossa announced Justin Maistrow as Chief Investment Officer. Maistrow has been a key member of Treasury’s investment team since 2017, having previously served as Acting Chief Investment Officer, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Senior Investment Strategist, and Senior Investment Analyst. As Chief Investment Officer, Maistrow will provide guidance and oversight of the Employees Retirement System of Rhode Island’s (ERSRI) nearly $12 billion investment portfolio. Maistrow’s duties include working with the State Investment Commission on portfolio construction, asset allocation strategy, risk assessment and allocation, fund manager selection and oversight, liquidity management, and portfolio performance evaluation. In his new role, Maistrow will leverage his extensive experience of overseeing the investment staff’s day-to-day operations and developing the formation and implementation of ERSRI’s strategic asset allocation. “Justin’s extensive knowledge and proven track record as a member of our investment team will be instrumental in driving the continued growth of the state’s portfolio. Maistrow is the past president and current board member of CFA Society Providence, serves on the Meeting Street Investment Committee, and was named a 2021 Rising Star by Institutional Investor.
