I received a notification that the deadline for the Appraisal Services for the Unclaimed Property Program RFP has been extended and would like to ask a few questions prior to submitting a proposal.

The deadline has been extended. The information can be found in this link  https://treasury.ri.gov/open-government/requests-proposals-rfps/open-requests-proposal

Will the inspections be conducted at the Treasury or will the property need to be moved off-site?

Per the RFP, all items must be appraised on site. If, for any reason, an item needs to be sent out for testing, written consent must be obtained from the program administrator.

Will the first appraisal need to be completed by June 30 2026 or 2027?

Preferably, the appraisal must be completed in 2026.

Has there been any inventory or cataloging of the property previously conducted? No, the property has not been inventoried or cataloged.

The appraisal is for property that came in after our auction in November of 2025.

How is the property currently stored?

The property is stored in a secure vault at 50 Service Ave., Warwick.
