Claire Plante Date 2023-12-04 I feel that I have been devastated by the actions taken back in 2011. First, I made two decisions based on the fact that I would continue receiving my pension. During my divorce of 2000, I didn't go after some of my ex's pension knowing that mine was better. Second, I retired after merely 28 years of teaching. Those two decision have left me with a mere monthly net income of 3100. Today I am looking at either selling my home or filing for bankruptcy. Is that how a retired teacher with a master's degree face her "golden years"? Common knowledge that prices have doubled and tripled since 2011. I now pay $1.000 for a tank of oil. I have neglected home repairs as well as other necessities. Trips and other luxuries are totally out of the picture. Please reinstate our COLA's ...even social security recipients get a COLA.
